BONUS Storyboards!

Due to technical difficulties (which were entirely my fault; Mei-Yi is a consummate professional) the storyboards from Final Frontier: Part Two were missing like 15 images. They're now complete, so go check out the stuff you missed in the gallery. I would imagine it'll make much more sense now.

Love this stuff! Hope you guys are able to further the concept someday. :)

If you have the time, I was wondering if you could list any specs for the ship... I 'm a big fan of all the tech stuff and would love to know what kind of weapons and shields, power, propulsion, etc. that this new Enterprise has. :D Or even any ideas to the size or internal configuration. I know that as a series it might have to be a bit loose on that stuff to serve the story, but was wondering if you had any ideas on those things. Would really appreciate it if you could explain any of that stuff. I have to admit the design took some getting used to but now I love it. ^_^ It's very mysterious though, and not knowing it's capabilities is like a bad itch I can't scratch! D:

Hi Ashley, we never got quite as far as the internal structure and propulsion. The ship was definitely smaller, and in addition to regular phasers has a lot of close-combat pulse phasers like Defiant had (although a little more advanced). You can see reference to some of those weapons in the script. I know we had talked about crew complement, but I'll have to look through our notes and see if I can find exact numbers.

We would have gotten all those details solidified once the project was greenlit, but at the phase we were in when development stopped, it was better to focus our attention on other things. I'm glad you like the ship.

I love this concept. Although it does go the dark route that seem to mark most versions of trek since DS9, it has that hopeful vibe that attracted me to the series since the original. Its a theme Roddenberry explored somewhat with Andromeda, and I admit after hearing the commentary, I sort of hope the series (if it does get made) would allow us to see the Federation restored. That would be a nice grand over arc to see. Its futury (opposite of history) which turns out brighter. I liked how the characters are designed, especially Holden and Zero, the scripts read well and the story started off starkly stating just how different the Federation is from any of its earlier eras. It would have horrified Captains from Archer to Janeway and all in between. Chase was used well, and I enjoyed what was done with the Red shirts. Their attitude and tech were also nice touches. This first story had a good foundation to introduce the universe, the characters and with what Chase did the meaning the Federation should be as well as humor. I hope more is done. Thank you for sharing this on the web for us to see.
